The PADDIE+M Approach to Scenario Development

PADDIE+M is an instructional design methodology developed by the US Navy from the popular ADDIE* method and incorporates input from the entire delivery team, and not just the educator. This workshop will describe the PADDIE+M process and take participants through a preliminary plan for designing a scenario for their simulation programme.

*ADDIE is an acronym for the five stages of a development process: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation.

  1. Discuss how PADDIE+M Can be applied within in a simulation programme
  2. Perform preliminary planning of a scenario using the PADDIE+M approach
