About the Speaker​

 

Prof LEE Eng Hin

Emeritus Consultant, Division of Paediatric Orthopaedics, 

National University Health System

Senior Consultant, Department of Orthopedic Surgery,

KK Women's and Children's Hospital

Prof Lee is Emeritus Consultant in the Division of Paediatric Orthopaedics at the National University Health System (NUHS), and Senior Consultant in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, KK Women's and Children's Hospital. He teaches as a Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Prof Lee is also the Programme Leader of the NUS Tissue Engineering Programme and is known for his research on stem cells for cartilage repair and regeneration.

As the former Dean of the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and Director of the Division of Graduate Medical Studies, NUS, as well as the past Co-Chair of the Joint Committee for Specialist Training, Prof Lee has been intimately involved with undergraduate and postgraduate medical education in Singapore for over 20 years. He chairs the Education Committee of the ASEAN Orthopaedic Association, which recently completed the development of an ASEAN Orthopaedic Training Curriculum.

For his professional standing, achievements and contributions to research on the musculoskeletal system, Prof Lee was recently conferred the Fellowship of International Orthopaedic Research and admitted into the International College of Fellows by the International Combined Orthopaedic Research Societies in 2019.
