About the Speaker​

 

Ms HO Yim Fong

Senior Lecturer, School of Health and Social Sciences

Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore

Ms Ho Yim Fong is a nurse by profession and currently, works as an educator at the School of Health and Social Sciences, Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP). In her teaching career, she contributed her time to curriculum development and evaluation for both pre-registration and post-registration nursing programmes. Yim Fong led the establishment of a new simulation centre at NYP in 2013 and served as simulation centre manager,  before stepping down in 2016 to focus on teaching and learning. With her interest in andragogy, she pursued her Masters of Education at the National Institute of Education, Singapore. 

Currently, she is one of the simulation co-ordinators in NYP who oversees the training of staff and evaluation of students’ learning experiences through different methods of simluation-based teaching. She also has extensive experience in designing and coordinating customised simulation programs for international delegates from China, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Taiwan. This year, she was invited by the Society of Simulation in Healthcare to be one of the content reviewers for SimOps 2019 and IMSH 2020 Conferences (educational track).
