DE-REGISTRATION OF BRIGHT VISION HOSPITAL AS AN INSTITUTION OF PUBLIC CHARACTER AND COMPANY, AND INTEGRATION OF BVH GENERAL FUND INTO SINGHEALTH COMMUNITY HOSPITALS HEALTH FUND
As part of a move to enhance corporate governance, streamline fundraising efforts and optimise our operations, Bright Vision Hospital ("BVH") will be de-registered as a charity and an Institution of Public Character ("IPC"). BVH will also be removed from the register of companies in Singapore.
With the de-registration of BVH as a charity / IPC, we will progressively transfer our funds and assets to the new SCH Health Fund which is part of SingHealth Fund (UEN No. 201624016E), an IPC and umbrella fund for SingHealth cluster. All donations made prior to 31 December 2022 will be ring – fenced and used in accordance with their original intent.
BVH's hospital operations will be integrated into SingHealth Community Hospitals ("SCH") with effect from 1 January 2023, and SCH will run the hospital operations under the new name "Bright Vision Community Hospital". SCH also operates Sengkang Community Hospital and Outram Community Hospital, and is part of the SingHealth cluster, Singapore's largest public healthcare cluster.
This move will bring BVH directly into the SingHealth network of public healthcare institutions and will increase its accessibility to professional resources within the SingHealth cluster, thereby allowing it to better meet the needs of its patients.
All current and new donations to BVH will continue to be managed under the SCH Health Fund. Funds raised will benefit patients across the three community hospitals under SCH. The funds will support needy patients and also go towards other meaningful causes such as enhancing patient care and improving research and education for healthcare to benefit generations to come.
We sincerely thank all donors of BVH for your past support and hope you will continue to support SCH in future. If you have any questions about BVH's de-registration as a charity / IPC or the SCH Health Fund, please email bvh.community@singhealthch.com.sg
