I am a Physiotherapist - Sreeram

“Hi, I’m Sreeram, a physiotherapist at Outram Community Hospital!

I never thought my career path would lead me to healthcare, but watching my grandmother's journey after she suffered a fracture changed everything. I still remember how her physiotherapist, with such patience and skill, helped her regain her mobility and, eventually, her independence. That experience planted the seed for me to pursue physiotherapy, and today, I find myself working at OCH, doing what that therapist did for my grandmother—helping people reclaim their lives.

My job isn’t just about guiding my patients through exercises or checking off rehabilitation routines. It’s about understanding who they are, what motivates them, and what they hope to achieve. Rehabilitation is a partnership, and I empower my patients by having real conversations that allow me to connect their exercises to their unique needs and health goals. Whether they dream of walking their grandchild to school again or simply getting back to their favorite hobby, I shape our sessions around those aspirations.

Outside of work, I’m a family man at heart. I love spending time with my loved ones, whether it’s enjoying a meal together or just relaxing after a busy day.

Those moments of connection recharge me, and they also help me resonate with my patients and their families. I understand the concerns and hopes that loved ones carry when a family member is in recovery because I’ve been in their shoes. It’s that empathy that drives me to not only care for my patients but also ensure their families feel supported throughout the healing process!"
