SINGAPORE - Professor Donald Tan will relinquish his post as medical director of the Singapore National Eye Centreopens in a new tab, with Professor Wong Tien Yin taking over from Aug 1, or next Friday.

On the same day, Associate Professor Kwa Chong Teck steps down after 17 years as executive director of the National Dental Centre Singapore and will be replaced by Associate Professor Poon Choy Yoke.

Both Prof Tan and Prof Kwa will be appointed senior advisors to their respective institutes.

Prof Tan continues as Professor of Ophthalmology and will spend more time on clinical practice and teaching, while continuing with his research at the Singapore Eye Research Instituteopens in a new tab.
