Health Technology Assessment (HTA)
Health Technology covers any intervention that may be used to promote health, to prevent, diagnose or treat disease or for rehabilitation or long-term care. This includes the pharmaceuticals, devices, procedures and organizational systems used in health care.
According to NHS Centre for Reviews and Dissemination
Health Technology Assessment (HTA) studies the medical, social and economic implications of development, diffusion, and the use of health technology and informs policy decisions. Its aim is to improve the quality and cost-effectiveness of health care.
