Tin has been with the Centre of Health Services Research since July 2007. He is currently working in the area of health related outcomes research. His main focus is on the evaluation of chronic disease management in different settings.

Tin has worked in Yangon General Hospital for 2 years and subsequently became the team leader of Leprosy control for 4 years. He has a fair amount of experience participating in communicable disease control programs in a developing country. In 2006, he was awarded a Masters of Medicine in Public Health from the National University of Singapore Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. His interests are primarily on communicable diseases. In his dissertation, he determined the prevalence and risk factors contributing to the delay in treatment of leprosy patients. Tin graduated with a MBBS degree from Myanmar.
