Infectious disease is the medical specialty dealing with the diagnosis and medical treatment of infectious diseases caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites.
This specialty is available at all SingHealth Hospitals. The Paediatric Infectious Diseases Service at KK Women's & Children's Hospital is the only one of its kind in Singapore. It sees referrals across disciplines - including paediatric oncology, neonatology, intensive care and paediatric surgery.
