Neurosurgery
Neurosurgery is the medical specialty concerned with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disorders that affect the entire nervous system including the brain, spinal column, spinal cord and extra-cranial cerbrovascular system.
Under the SingHealth group, the specialty is offered by
National Neuroscience Institute (NNI),
Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and
KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH).
NNI trains many of the practising neurosurgeons in Singapore and remains the largest in Singapore in terms of number of neurosurgeons, patient load and surgical procedures performed. It provides neurosurgery services in SingHealth through SGH.
KKH provides comprehensive cover for children with congenital and acquired conditions.
