The Final MBBS examination is an important and yet rigorous set of assessment. For many, it is much welcomed and dreaded at the same time. Welcomed because it has been five long years of struggle and finally the end of the tunnel is within sight. Dreaded to some seemingly because of the horror stories and legends extolled by seniors, many exaggerated of course...” message by Dr Ooi Choon Jin, Director of Medical Manpower.

A series of teaching sessions was organized on 18, 19, 20 December 2006, to aid the medical students in clearing the hurdle. We were honoured to invite experienced tutors for the lectures, many who are examiners themselves, to aid medical students to leap across the hurdle.

Dr Ooi headed the session by addressing on the Etiquettes, followed by one of top students sharing his experience and providing tips to his junior to ace the exam. The tutors continued the sessions; whereby they discussed (long/short) cases, responded to the student’s doubts and gave invaluable pointers.

We appreciate all the tutors for their time and willingness to impart their knowledge to the students despite their busy schedules.

Lastly, we wish the students all the best for the exam and look forward to welcome all to our fraternity of medical professional in coming May.
