NON-TRAINEE MEDICAL OFFICER (MO)

Training for non-trainees posted to any specialty in SingHealth involves daily ward routines, clinical skills and procedures, CME, departmental meetings, teaching ward rounds, research and finally supervision by senior doctors in your department. Your assigned mentor in each posting will help you with any difficulties you may encounter and also help to plan your career path in the department, institution and in the profession.

To help you make the best use of your training in your posting, we have worked with Heads of Departments to suggest training objectives for specific specialty. Read more on Medical Manpower Intranet.

MEDICAL OFFICER TRAINEE (MOT)

If you choose to train as a specialist, you can apply for basic specialist traineeship (BST). In addition to all the above non-trainee activities described above, you will be required to fulfil Specialist Training Committee (STC) requirements in order to qualify for the Master of Medicine and other relevant postgraduate examinations.  For more information on Specialist Training in Singapore, please visit Division of Graduate Medical Studies NUS.
