40th Malaysia- Singapore Congress of Medicine - By Dr Gale Lim

The 40th Malaysia- Singapore Congress of Medicine was held at Sunway Pyramid Convention Center in Petaling Jaya Malaysia from the 24th-27th August this year. The theme for the conference was “Coming to terms with Acute Care Medicine”. It was jointly organized by the Academy of Medicine, Singapore and the Academy of Medicine, Malaysia.

World-renowned speakers were invited to update us on this very important aspect of medicine. Plenaries, seminars and workshops were lined up in an effort to integrate adequate knowledge of acute care medicine into the realm of medical consciousness.

While we presented our posters, we also took time out after the conference to enjoy the water theme park, relax at the hotel spa, visit the KL Tower, shop, trawl the happening bars and of course, stuff ourselves silly with the famously delicious hawker fare.
