| The Reproductive Medicine Unit provides a comprehensive
range of services for the diagnosis and treatment of
infertility. It also provides specialized gynecological
services in the areas of andrology, sexual dysfunction,
endocrinology, family planning and adolescent gynaecology.
Being the largest infertility centre in Singapore with
robust infertility treatment programs, the unit aims
to be the centre of choice for the comprehensive treatment
of infertility. The department will also continue to
provide training for local and regional clinicians and
scientists in the various areas of infertility and in
Reproductive Medicine.

The program aims to equip basic trainees with knowledge
of:
- Infertility & reproductive endocrinology and
the principles of their management
- To have practical exposure to some aspects of assisted
reproductive techniques in order to appreciate the
complexities of human fertilization and reproduction
and the ethical issues in assisted conception
- To equip basic trainees with skills to manage basic
areas such as contraception, menopause and the climacteric
and common endocrine problems in the context of reproductive
medicine eg. hirsutism, hyperprolactinemia, thyroid
disease, etc
- To provide basic trainees with an opportunity to
experience REI work in order to determine for themselves
whether they have the interest and aptitude for future
sub-specialty training in REI
