The trip has been successful in meeting the set aims in creating awareness and promote Singapore healthcare system, as well as sharing with the medical students career and training opportunities within SingHealth.  There is certainly much interest among medical students in Australia for training and working in Singapore after graduation.

More than 180 medical students, young interns and residents attended our presentation.  The presentation was very well received amongst the students as shown by their active participation during the Q&A sessions and their strong interaction with our team members after the presentations.

The team also met up with Deans and faculty representatives from the Universities to exchange information and updates of the healthcare system in both Singapore and Australia.  These meetings have enable SingHealth to achieve greater heights for more future opportunities of collaboration with the Universities. 

The meet-up with SingHealth doctors on HMDP was also another fruitful experience.  The team met with the doctors in Sydney and Melbourne.  These meetings have helped us better understand their HMDP training overseas, compare the varying healthcare system and processes in both countries.  Also, we took this opportunity to introduce these doctors to one another and learn from each other about their experience with the difference in lifestyle and culture overseas. 

On behalf of the SingHealth, we would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the university faculty representatives, as well as all the students' representatives for the great effort and assistance in the publicity and organisation of SingHealth's presentation talk.  A BIG Thank You to you and we sincerely hope to work together again in future!
