FY 2005 SingHealth HMDP Award Reception brought together our award recipients on 24 June. 

In GCEO Prof Tan Ser Kiat's opening address, he encouraged our recipients to take their
careers further as they upgrade and learn from the best in the world.   Since FY 2004, we are
able to sponsor almost two times the number of recipients as kind funding from SingHealth
Foundation has made this possible. 

Guest of Honour Chairman SingHealth Mr Bernard Chen's message brought insights and
inspiration to the recipients.  He motivated them to trust in the things they do, follow their
hearts and make learning a lifelong process.

The Reception also saw member of SingHealth Foundation Dr Lee Suan Yew present a
cheque to Prof Ong Yong Yau, Chairman HMDP Committee SingHealth.

Highlights of the Reception include presentations from previous HMDP awardees.  They are
Dr Ng Yee Sien, Associate Consultant, Rehabilitation Medicine SGH and NC Png Gek Pheng
Ward 35 CGH. Dr Ng spent 12 months at the Harvard Medical School in Boston USA for his
Clinical Fellowship in Neurorehabilitation. Read more. NC Png Gek Kheng spent 2 months at
the Concord Repatriation General Hospital Sydney Australia for her Clinical Fellowship in
Geriatric Care.
