1. When will I have to renew my practising certificate? - Application for renewal is to be done at least one month before expiry. (For e.g. If the certificate is expired on 30 Nov, the application for renewal should be submitted before 30 Oct.) - SingHealth, Medical Manpower Department administers renewal with SMC. - Staff is only required to endorse for renewal. - Late charges will be imposed if application for renewal is not submitted by due date (1 month before expiry). This late payment fee is charged at S$80.
2. Who will bear the processing fees? - SingHealth will bear the cost.
3. What if I resign from SingHealth, do I have to reimburse the fees paid for in advance by SingHealth? - Yes, should any staff terminate employment with SingHealth either voluntarily or involuntarily, he/she is to reimburse the pro-rated Practising Certificate Fee paid for in advance by SingHealth.
4. When can I collect the new certificate? - Processing time is two weeks. - Staff to collect their new certificate personally from SingHealth, Medical Manpower Department or authorize in writing, another person to collect on his/her behalf
5. What if I lose the practising certificate? - Fees for a duplicate copy is S$65 - This will be borne by the staff.
