Being 'intellectually satisfying' to specialize, Prof Fock Kwong Ming also highlighed a few of the attributes of a good clinician eg being an astute observer, have hands of a pianist, have wisdom to put all data together and, most importantly, have hearts of gold.
Prof Wilfred Peh inspired the doctors to consider Diagnostic Radiology to pursue as a specialty through the sharing of his personal experience.
A/Prof George Yeo charted the journey of O&G and highlighted the clinical excellence of the specialty within SingHealth.
"Obstetrics and gynaecology have a singular story to a successful growth in Singapore. We could indeed be proud of what we have done so far....... We can all be very happy with what we have achieved and allow this not to make us complacent but give us further fillip to strive harded to do better in our scholarship and in our advancement." Speech by Dr Benjamin Henry Sheares, President of the Republic of Singapore (1971 - 1981) also, a specialist in O & G.
