Program Director's Welcome

As a major tertiary referral centre for children, SingHealth is an excellent place to begin your journey in Pediatric Medicine. Here, you would be exposed to pediatrics at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) – Singapore’s main hospital for children – as well as experience neonatology at both KKH and Singapore General Hospital (SGH).

 
The wide range of clinical experiences and subspecialty posting opportunities found at these institutions will give you a firm foundation in general pediatrics. We have an excellent track record of raising competent, qualified pediatricians and are deeply committed to the medical education of future practitioners.

 

The main objectives of our program are to inculcate proficient knowledge, skills and attitudes into residents. This is done through a rigorous curriculum based on the US residency training philosophy, which at the same retains the beneficial aspects of the seamless UK training system in order to meet local healthcare needs.

Together with my team of dedicated faculty, we aim to nurture residents into successful community pediatricians or pediatric hospitalists. We look forward to meeting you and challenging you to be the best that you can be.
