Changi General Hospital has developed a website for DIY health, fitness and weight management. This interactive site, www.myhealth.sg, empowers individuals to manage their health and fitness needs online at their convenience.
The website aims to promote a healthy lifestyle by translating proven clinical programmes into convenient tools that work outside of the hospital environment.
Personalised programmes
Designed by CGH doctors and health professionals, the site offers personalised CGH develops Singapore’s First Online Weight Management Programme fitness, weight management and mental wellness programmes.
Anyone wishing to lose weight or just maintain his fitness can access the clinically proven programmes that are offered to CGH patients through this interactive medium.
The Weight Management module is based on the successful programme offered by the hospital since 2003. More than 2000 patients have embarked on this evidence based programme employing dietary, physical activity and behaviour modification intervention. On average, they have lost 7 kg within 6 months.
www.myhealth.sg also offers a mental health module that serves as a useful first-line mental health assessment. Supported by CGH’s mental health professionals, mental health tips and advice are provided based on the results of the assessment.
