SingHealth’s Allied Health Professionals cover a range of specialist roles that are vital to providing high quality, integrated healthcare. Each of them brings specialist knowledge and skills that are unique.
Allied Health Professionals work alongside doctors and nurses, but make independent assessment and decisions on treatment based on their training and specialist expertise. They play a significant role in the holistic management of patients’ healthcare needs; and their practice is evidence based.

SingHealth has strength of about 2000 Allied Health Professionals across the group. They range from Physiotherapists to Audio-Verbal Therapists to Sleep Technologists.
To help meet the growing education and development needs of SingHealth’s Allied Health Professionals the Postgraduate Allied Health Institute (PGAHI) was started by SGH in 2003. PGAHI has offered more than 3000 training places to date. Click here to find out more
