Dr Reginald Liew is a Consultant with the Department of Cardiology, National Heart Centre Singapore.

 

He performed his pre-clinical studies at the Cambridge University, UK, obtaining his Bachelor (BA) and Master (MA) degrees in 1994 and 1996 respectively. He undertook his clinical training at the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals, London, UK and graduated with his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 1997. He has been a member of the Royal College of Physicians, UK since 2000.

 

Dr Liew undertook a period of basic science research at the Imperial College London, and was awarded his PhD in cellular electrophysiology in 2004. He completed his specialist training in cardiology in 2008, sub-specialising in invasive electrophysiology and complex cardiac pacing at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital and St. George’s Hospital, London, UK.

 

Dr Liew has published numerous scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his work at many national and international meetings. He is the Associate Editor of a major international cardiology journal and is also a reviewer for several cardiology and basic science journals. He continues to maintain an active interest in translational and clinical research.


His subspecialty area is Electrophysiology and Pacing.
