Dr Paul Chiam is an Consultant with the Department of Cardiology, National Heart Centre Singapore.
He graduated with his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 1996 and obtained his Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine), Singapore in 2001. He has been a member of the Royal College of Physicians, UK since 2001.
Dr Chiam did his fellowship in interventional cardiology at the Lenox Hill Heart and Vascular Institute of New York, USA from August 2006 to February 2008 where he gained experience in balloon aortic valvuloplasty working alongside the pioneer of the first successful human CoreValve implant. In addition, he did a short fellowship (endovascular) at the University at Buffalo, (Endovascular), The State University of New York, USA from February 2008 to April 2008.
Dr Chiam has co-authored numerous papers, abstracts and participated in various research projects and clinical trials.
His subspecialty interest is in interventional cardiology.
