Dr Lim Chong Hee is a Senior Consultant, Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery and the Director, Heart and Lung Transplant Programme with the National Heart Centre Singapore.

He graduated with his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 1990 and has been a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, UK since 1994 and Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, since 2001.

Dr Lim did his fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio, USA from 1999 to 2001.

He has been a part-time academic staff with the Faulty of Medicine at the National University of Singapore (NUS) since 2003.

 

In addition, he is a member in various medical committees and societies, including the Singapore Thoracic Society and the Society of Transplantation (Singapore).

 

An active researcher, Dr Lim is currently involved in several projects and has published many abstracts and papers. He has also contributed chapters to medical books including the “VATS in Diffuse Lung Disease – Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery – VATS”.

Dr Lim’s subspecialty interest is in cardiac and thoracic surgery, heart lung transplant and the mechanical heart assist device.
