English is the key language of communication, and most Singaporeans speak and write a second language, usually Mandarin, Tamil or Malay. With her low crime rate, Singapore is a safe and comfortable place to live. Her airport, medical facilities, education system, transportation and public housing are rated highly in the world.
The climate is tropical, and it is usually sunny all year. The monsoon seasons from December to March and June to September could bring heavy rain.
