Singapore is an island country located in the heart of Southeast Asia. Measuring 41.5km from East to West and 22.5km from North to South, Singapore is easy to navigate with her efficient transportation network of trains and buses. She is a green and modern city, with a population of 4.8 million.

English is the key language of communication, and most Singaporeans speak and write a second language, usually Mandarin, Tamil or Malay. With her low crime rate, Singapore is a safe and comfortable place to live. Her airport, medical facilities, education system, transportation and public housing are rated highly in the world.

The climate is tropical, and it is usually sunny all year. The monsoon seasons from December to March and June to September could bring heavy rain.
