Health Science Scholarship (3+1)
SingHealth Allied Health Professionals are highly trained, forward thinking and skilled individuals who are key to providing high quality, modern healthcare. Our Allied Health Professionals work alongside doctors and nurses, making independent assessments and decisions on treatment based on their training and specialist expertise. Many are also involved in teaching and research to improve patient care.
Although a diverse group they have some common traits:
- Good knowledge of healthcare equipment and cutting edge technological advancements
- An interest in human behaviours and how this affects people’s abilities to deal with the difficulties life throws at us!
- Self awareness, maturity and professionalism
- Excellent people skills and the ability to communicate with people from all walks of life
There are various professions under the banner of Allied Health Professions, some of whom are trained locally and some are trained overseas. This scholarship offers placement for Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Radiography and Radiation Therapy.
Scholarship Application for year 2011 will open the day A Level results release and close 10 days after.

- Singaporean or Singapore PR
- Good GCE 'O' and 'A' level results, preferably in science subjects
- Must meet entry criteria for chosen training institution
- Good co-curricular record
- Genuine interest and aptitude for chosen Profession
- Maintain a minimum grade average throughout the course

Applicants should apply for the course at Nanyang Polytechnic
(NYP) concurrently with their scholarship application.
(Students who are currently undertaking the Health Sciences
courses at NYP may also apply.)
