Singapore General Hospital (SGH) is Singapore's largest acute tertiary hospital and national referral centre. Dedicated to providing multidisciplinary medical care and backed by state-of-the-art facilities, it offers team-based quality patient care that is widely acknowledged to be amongst the best in the world.

Established in 1821, SGH is Singapore's public sector flagship hospital. Specialties like Plastic Surgery and Burns, Renal Medicine, Nuclear Medicine and PET, Pathology and Haematology have been established as national referral centres, enabling them to offer the most developed medical technology, highest medical expertise and largest range of services in the country.

With its 29 clinical specialties, SGH is also a seat of medical education and a centre of research for innovative treatments and medical breakthroughs. SGH is the largest teaching hospital in Asia and second largest in the world to be accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI).

KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH) is the only integrated women's and children's hospital in Singapore. The hospital provides specialised care for women, babies and children.

KKH is a major tertiary referral centre for highrisk obstetrics, gynaecological oncology, urogynaecology, neonatology, paediatrics, paediatric bone-marrow transplants and paediatric open-heart surgeries. It is also a teaching hospital affiliated to the National University of Singapore.

Changi General Hospital (CGH) is located in east Singapore, only 10 minutes from Singapore's International Airport. CGH offers a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, paramedical services and a medical centre for international travellers. The hospital is an emerging expert in specialties like gastroenterology, dermatology, obstructive sleep apnoea, sports medicine, prostate management, male impotence, urinary incontinence, cartilage transplant, arthroscopy, one-stop breast care and multiphasic health screening.

The hospital is well-equipped with modern technology such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Spiral Computed Tomography (CT) Scan and Cardiac Catheterisation.

The National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) is a national and regional centre directed at the prevention and treatment of different cancers, including thoracic, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, head and neck cancers. It sees over 50% of cancer cases in Singapore.

As a one-stop specialist centre housing Singapore's largest pool of oncologists, it has state-of-the-art equipment and employs the latest therapies including mini transplants and targeted therapies which maximise outcomes and minimise undesirable side effects.

Physically and operationally designed to provide integrated and holistic patient-centred clinical services, it allows cross-consultation among oncologists of different specialties. Patients can therefore be assessed by more than one specialist during the same visit. NCCS also conducts clinical and basic research and develops public cancer education programmes wholly directed at the prevention and treatment of cancer.

National Dental Centre (NDC) is Singapore's referral centre for patients needing specialist oral healthcare services. Our specialists attend to more than160,000 patients yearly, supported by fully-trained support staff, 92 fully-equipped dental operatories, and a day surgery centre with 6 operating theatres. Interdepartmental teams offer an integrated environment for managing the full spectrum of oral healthcare needs.

NDC's comprehensive range of services include specialist consultations and screenings, ambulatory oral surgical services, aesthetic dentistry, and restorative services.

National Heart Centre (NHC) is the national referral centre for cardiovascular diseases serving both local and international patients. Every year, NHC carries out more than 80,000 outpatient consultations, 6,000 operations and receives more than 8,000 inpatient admissions.

Through its multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses and health science professionals, NHC addresses the need for more comprehensive and complex diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac services. It also provides structured cardiovascular rehabilitative and preventive cardiology programmes for cardiac patients to enhance their recovery process.

National Neuroscience Institute (NNI) is the international specialist centre for the management and care of neurological diseases. It provides treatment for a broad range of illnesses that affect the brain, spine, nerve and muscle.

The team of NNI clinicians attends to the most number of outpatient cases and inpatient admissions for neurological diseases in Singapore. Its medical care is complemented with state-of- the-art medical equipment and imaging technology. It is the only institute in Singapore with a dedicated Neuroradiology Department.

The institute also co-ordinates and provides clinical neuroscience training and conducts basic and clinical neuroscience research in Singapore. The NNI is one of the few centres in Asia capable of participating in international clinical trials for new medications, particularly for stroke treatment.

Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) spearheads and coordinates the provision of specialised ophthalmological services and is the designated national centre for eye services in Singapore. The centre is known for its high quality one-stop personalised service for patients who require eye care services provided by its staff of 450 highly specialised medical, paramedical and administrative personnel.

SNEC currently manages 14,000 major eye surgeries and 13,000 laser procedures annually. 9 specialties have been established to provide a full range of eye treatment from comprehensive to tertiary levels.
