An Institution of Public Character (IPC), under the Ministry of Health, the Foundation's top priority is to uphold the highest standards of corporate governance and abide by the Code of Governance for Charities and Institutions of Public Character, seeking ways to continuously improve processes and procedures for managing grants and donor funds efficiently and transparently.
The Foundation also offers financial management and support for programmes at the various  SingHealth Institutions.
The foundations four core areas are CURE: Singapore Cord Blood Bank, Research, Education, as well as Needy Patient Services .
