SINGHEALTH and Alexandra Hospital have been recognised as being one of the most age-friendly employers in the world.

They are the only Asian winners among 10 in the first-ever International Innovation Employer Awards, organised by the American Association of Retired Persons.

The winners were picked based on factors such as workplace culture and job training opportunities.

The proportion of employees over the age of 50 in SingHealth is 18 per cent, while in Alexandra Hospital, it is 14 per cent.

The winners will be honoured in Chicago next month.
